My Conversation with ISTE CEO Richard Culatta

One of the many joys of being a podcaster is that I get to geek out with some amazing guests. Over the last couple of years hosting both ISTE’s Learning Unleashed podcast and Future Ready’s UnDisruptEd podcast have allowed me to have some great heart-to-heart conversations with educators right in the thick of it. Recently, I had ISTE CEO (and former Director of Ed Tech for the US DOE) Richard Culatta on the Learning Unleashed podcast (full podcast below)

The conversation started with me telling Richard that I actually applied for his job when he left the U.S. Department of Education (I got ghosted btw). We touch on many of the key points of his latest book Digital for Good including debates about screen time, reflecting on the past year and a half of education, and why assessments don’t necessarily have to suck.

All in all, I was fired up after talking with Richard. His energy is infectious and he has a very wide knowledge base when it comes to effective technology use. I won’t give away too much of the content, but give it a listen. I think you’ll enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed hosting!
